Given the many sensors and apps available for smartphones, how often is a smartphone used for placing person-to-person phone calls? Will that function disappear? What could replace it?

Well holograms probably could replace it but rn it would be texting or emailing yes calling will probably disappear in the future Rarely do I ever call anyone so calling isn't as often as texting
