x=number of footballs
y=number of basketballs.
then:
x=2.5y
The ratio of footballs to basketballs would be: x/y=2.5=5/2
The ratio of basketballs to footballs would be: y/x=1/2.5=2/5

Then:
if x=5;
x=2.5y
5=2.5y
y=5/2.5=2

Therefore:
The only one true statement would be:

C. There were 5 footballs sold for every 2 basketballs. to check just multiply 2 times 2.5 and you get 5. Hope this helped
