310 plus 210 make 520 so I would say 100 more males than females.

We can say that the ratio of males to females is 5:3 and we can solve this:

The total number of parts is 5+3 = 8

520/8 = 65

We can rewrite the ratio as:

5*65:3*65

325:195

Therefore there was 325 males
