Better quality compost! Worm castings contain the worms' gut bacteria and mucus. These microbes and substances are very helpful to plants. Vermicompost has more nitrogen-fixing bacteria than conventional compost. Vermicompost helps make minerals in the surrounding soil available to plants more quickly.
