The heights of a certain group of adult males were found to be normally distributed. The mean of the height is 170 cm with a standard deviation of 6 cm. In a group of 1,200 of these males, about how many would be more than 164 cm tall?

P(X > 164)
now the corresponding z is,
z = (X - μ)/σ
z = (164 - 170)/6
z = -6/6
z = -1 (table value against it will be 0.15866)
P(z > 0.15866)
= 1 - 0.15866
=P(z > 0.15866)
= 0.84134
=0.84134 * 1200
= 1009.608 ≈ 1010
hope it helps
