3(y+4)-2=y+(y+5)

^^please show the work with the answer. also, if you could do the check, that would be very helpful. thank you soooo much :))

3(y+4)-3=y+(y+5)
3y+9=2y+5
1y+9=5
1y=-4
y=-4
(What grade/math level are you in? I do thise sometimes in my math class too)
