Robert’s annual salary for his new job was $24,000 in the first year, $27,000 in the second year, $30,000 in the third year, and so on. assuming the same pattern continues, in what year will his salary be $42,000?

So every year his salary gets raised $3. Which means we just add $3 until you get to $42,000. His salary will raised on the seventh year. Because $30,000 plus 12,000 is $42,000 :D
