Answer: They collected 750 cans.

Explanation:

Hi, to answer this question we have to analyze the information given:

  • Number of cans collected by Cathy: 125
  • Number of volunteers (including Cathy) : 6

So, calculate the total number of can that all the volunteers collected we have to simply multiply the number of cans that Cathy collected (125 ,Since each volunteer collected about the same number of cans) by the number of volunteers (6 including Cathy).

125 x 6 = 750 cans.

Feel free to ask for more if needed or if you did not understand something.

Everyone got 4 cans a day but one person got 5 cans everyday. How? 125/5, cans collect/number of day equals 25 cans a day if you divide by 6 you get 4.1 and they can't collect a fraction of a can so then you do 6*4=24 but you need 25 a day so one of the people got an extra can.
