Colonies

• Colonists were the powerful countries which created other countries as their colonies and they suppressed their power and also interfered in the working of the colonies in the social, political and economic working of the colonies.
• Colonists did all of this for their own betterment and benefits and therefore to increase their own wealth they exported their products to their colonies to increase trade and imported raw materials at very cheap rates to earn profits.
• Mercantilism was also this period only which favored the colonists to earn profit and also favored slavery and increase of wealth by increasing trade.
