The harpy is the mythological creature that tortures those who are guilty of suicide.
In Greek mythology and Roman mythology, a harpy is known as a half-human and half-bird personification of storm winds, in Homeric poems. Harpies were considered agents of punishment. Therefore, they abducted people and tortured them on their way to hades´ domain, employed by the God as instruments for the punishment of the guilty.
