The perimeter of the triangle AMY can be calculated as,

COnsider the fifure,

The perimeter is,

Now, triangle MEG is the dilation of AMY by a factor 1/3. Therefore, the perimeter of MEG can be calculated as,

$P^(\prime)=(1)/(3)*18=6$
