You visit the Grand Canyon and drop a penny off the edge of a cliff. The distance the penny will fall is 16 feet the first second, 48 feet the next second, 80 feet the third second, and so on in an arithmetic sequence. How far from the cliff will the penny be at 6 seconds after it is initially dropped?

The penny will fall 112 feet the fourth second, 144 feet the fifth second, and 176 feet the sixth second. Therefore, the penny will be a total of 576 feet from the cliff at six seconds.
