13) Solve the problem::Jack and Benny are saving up to go to the next concert of “The Wiggles" but the ticketsare outrageously expensive. Jack has saved up $34.50 but still needs more to afford"floor seats” at the next Wiggles concert. Benny has only half the amount of moneyneeded for a floor seat ticket. If a floor seat ticket costs $98 per ticket, how much doesJack need to earn and how much does Benny have saved up?

We know that

• Jack has saved up $34.50 but he needs more.

• Benny has only half the amount of money needed for a floor seat ticket.

,

• A floor set ticket costs $98.

To find the amount of money they need to complete for the ticket, we just have to subtract.

98-34.50=63.50

Jack needs to earn $63.50 to pay for the ticket.

98-(98)/(2)=98-49=49

Benny needs $49 to par for the ticket.
