The general expression for the slope of line passing through two coordintaes are :

\text{ Slope=}(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

In the given question, two coordinates are : (-2, -6) & ( 2,2)

\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1)=(-2,-6) \\ (x_2,y_2)=(2,2) \\ \text{ Substitute the value in the expression of slope:} \\ \text{ Slope=}(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ \text{ Slope=}(2-(-6))/(2-(-2)) \\ \text{ Slope=}(2+6)/(2+2) \\ \text{ Slope=}(8)/(4) \\ \text{ Slope=2} \end{gathered}

Slope = 2

Answer : D) 2
