technically the number and be divided by anything but I assume you want a whole number?
2 can go evenly into any even # so 1044/2 = whole #
1044/3 = 348 so whole # so that is okay also
1044/4 = 261 whole #
1044/5 = 208.6 not whole #
1044/6 = 174 whole #
1044/9= 116
1044/10 = 104.4 not whole
A good trick to look at with at least single digits into bigger #'s is to look at the last 2 digits of the larger #
