Answer: 1 dozen cupcakes can be made in 12 cups of flour.

Explanation:

Given : The amount of flour a baker has =
8(5)/(8)\text{ cups}= (8*8+5)/(8)\text{ cups}

=(69)/(8)\text{ cups}

The number of cupcakes he made by using all flour =
3(5)/(6)=(6*3+5)/(6)=(23)/(6)

i.e.
(23)/(6) cupcakes made in
(69)/(8) cups of flour

By unitary method ,

1 cupcake made in
(69)/(8)*(6)/(23) cups of flour.

i.e. 1 cupcake made in
(9)/(4) cups of flour.

Then , 12 cupcakes can be made in
12*(9)/(4) cups of flour.

= 27 cups of flour.

Since 1 dozen = 12

Then , 1 dozen cupcakes can be made in 12 cups of flour.
