The scale on a map indicates that 1 in = 2.5mi. How far apart are two cities that measure 2.5 ft apart on the map?

1 ft = 12 inches
so 2.5 ft = 2.5(12) = 30 inches

if 1 inch = 2.5 miles
then 30 inches = 2.5(30) = 75 miles...they are 75 miles apart
