35 and 15 can both be divided by 5. 35/5 = 7, 15/5 = 3 so 7/3

Answer:

Ratio defined as the comparison between two quantities in terms of multiplication.

You can express ratio as colon or fraction i.e,

a: b or
(a)/(b)

Given the following: 35 girls : 15 boys

By definition of ratio:

\frac{35 \text{girls}}{15 \text{boys}}

Divide both numerator and denominator by 5 we get;

\frac{7 \text{girls}}{3 \text{boys}}

The ratio as a fraction in simplest form is, 7 girls : 3 boys
