The plane height of the paper as a function of time is given by:

Where,

g: acceleration of gravity

t: time

vo: initial speed of the paper plane

me: initial height of the paper plane

Therefore, because the height of the plane as a function of time has a parabolic trajectory, then this is an example of a projectile movement.

Answer:

this is an example of projectile motion because height as a function of time has a parabolic trajectory:

First of all the project motion is in the form of a parabolic path and it is a common practice that a paper airplane always follow a parabolic path, whenever it is thrown in the air, and gravity is acting upon the plane, like any other projectile.
