What is the solution to 2x+6=20

The solution to 2x+6=20

2x+6=20
-6 -6
Cross out the 2 six's and then take the 20 subtract it to 6 which would be 14 then take 14 divide by 2 and the answer is x=7

2x=20-6

2x=14

x=14/2

x=7
