Given:

A male appeal company surveyed men to find out how old their oldest pair of underwear is the results are summarized as shown in the given table.

First, we will find the probability that the man has a pair of underwear older than 4 years.

As shown we will find the sum of the probabilities of the underwear greater than 4 years.

So, the probability = 14% + 13% + 2% = 29%

So, the answer will be 29%

Second, we will find the probability that a pair of underwear older than 9 years

So, it will be the sum of the probabilities of the underwear that is greater than 9

So, the probability = 13% + 2% = 15%

So, the answer will be 15%

Part B:

What is the probability that a randomly selected man has no pair of underwear more than four years old?

So, it will the sum of the probabilities of the underwear that is less than 4 years.

So, the probability = 15% + 56% = 71%

So, the answer will be 71%
