For these types of questions I like to use the "bowtie" method:
1 inch
=
15
miles
4.5 inches = x miles
To solve, multiply 15 miles by 4.5 inches, then divide this product by 1 inch.
x= 15 miles x 4.5 inches ÷ 1 inch
x= 67.5 miles
