How would finding the least common multiple help you when dividing items into equal groups

You need to say what kind of "items" you're talking about
and what you mean by "equal" groups.
If I want to divide 76 tennis balls into 4 equal groups,
there is nothing about "least common multiple" that will help me.
I just put 19 balls in each group.To simplify a fraction, find the highest number that divides into both the numerator, or the top number, and the denominator, or the bottom number. Then, divide that number into both parts of the fraction to simplify.
