you use 6 gallons of water on 20 plants in your garden at that rate how much water will it take to water 30 plants

6/20 = x/30.....6 gal to 20 plants = x gallons to 30 plants
cross multiply
(20)(x) = (30)(6)
20x = 180
x = 180/20
x = 9 .....it would take 9 gallons for 30 plants
