The answer is B.) because acceleration is described as "therate of change in velocity per unit of time." whereas velocity is a "vector quantity, both magnitude and direction are needed to define it. the magnitude of velocity is called speed, being a coherent derived unit whose quantity is measured ins the SI system as metres per second.
