The cost for a certain music plan is $9.99 per year plus $0.25 per song you downloaded. If you paid $113.74 one year, find the number of songs you downloaded.

Simple...

for one year it's $9.99 and you paid $113.74 in one year and it's $0.25 per song....

$113.74-$9.99=$103.75

Now simply divide by $0.25

(103.75)/(0.25) =415

This means you bought 415 songs..

Thus, your answer.
