When a power is negative it can be written as one over number raised to the power ( 5
^(-2) =
(1)/(5^(2) ))

∴ (4 ÷ 3)
^(-2) =
(1)/(( (4)/(3))^(2) )

=
(1)/( (16)/(9) )

= 1 ÷
(16)/(9)

= 1 ×
(9)/(16)

Thus (4 ÷ 3)
^(-2) =
(9)/(16)
