20/45 + 9/45 =29/45
45/45 - 29/45
=16/45
16/45 of the wall is covered by couches

First we have to make them equivalent.
So lets make them equal.
4/9 * 5 is 20/45
1/5 * 9 is 9/45
Add then
20/45 + 9/45 = 29/45
