This is an easy question that I just read, shouldn't be too hard onece you write it down, it only requires about 7 steps (2 are simpliciations)

if

(x+3y)/(x) =7

find what the value of
(x)/(y) is

show all work

(x+3y)/(x) = 7 =\ \textgreater \ \text{Equation}

1+ (3y)/(x)= 7

\text{Subtract 1 from both sides}

(3y)/(x)=7-1

(3y)/(x)=6

\text{Multiply both sides by x}

3y=6x

\text{Divide both sides by 6}

(3y)/(6)=x

x= (y)/(2)
