In order to identify the rule that describes the transformation we use the preimage in black and determine what's happening in order to get to the image in blue.

Since the image changes its position the translation is not possible, we use the rule for rotation, looking at the figures the image could move 90° counterclockwise or 270° clockwise.

we check with the rule for a 90° rotation counterclockwise


A(x,y)\Rightarrow A^(\prime)(-y,x)

using one of the points G(0,1) goes to G'(-1,0), then, the rule applies.

C. rotation 90° counterclockwise about the origin
