we know that

one square mile is equal to
258.999\ hectares

so

by proportion

(258.999)/(1) (hectares)/(square\ miles) =(x)/(50) (hectares)/(square\ miles)\\\\ x=50*258.999= 12,949.95\ hectares

therefore

the answer is

12,950\ hectares
