Answer: This statement is False. Oral hygiene is a very important aspect of good health and especially hygiene. It is important to brush your teeth, floss, and use mouthwash daily. This helps to keep your teeth and gums clean, removes plaque and tartar. This also helps to keep your breath smelling good.

People who do not practice oral hygiene may develop gum disease and the teeth will get cavities and rot. This will cause infections and abscesses.

There have been many studies to link heart disease and even Alzheimer's to people not properly taking care of their oral hygiene.
