Use the Distributive Property to simplify the expression.

Hey there!

The Distributive Property states that

a(b+c)=ab+ac

This means we take a number/variable a and multiply it times b and c.

Also, this works for any number of terms:

a(b+c+d)=ab+ac+ad

Now, simplify:

7(p+q+9)=7p+7q+7×9=7p+7q+63

Is it possible to simplify this any further? No. because 7p, 7q and 63 aren't like terms.

Hope everything is clear.

Let me know if you have any questions!

7(p+q+9)
distribute the 7 to p, q, and 9 and you get: 7p+7q+63
