u have a geometric sequence with a common ratio of -1/2. That means u can multiply the number by -1/2 to get the next number.
-16 * -1/2 = 16/2 = 8
8 * -1/2 = -8/2 = -4
-4 * -1/2 = 4/2 = 2
2 * -1/2 = -2/2 = -1 <===
-1 * -1/2 = 1/2 <===
