Answer:

The American natives considered land to be precious and holy while the settlers see it as an economic benefit. The struggle between the Native and settlers grew when the Treaty of Fort Laramie was ignored by the US government. Natives were bound to nature, while the settlers pushed them toward the west as they started taking lands for farming. The westward expansion and Manifest destiny played a key role for the settlers to move in the American west.
