In the book "From Hell to Paradise" Pilgrim Dante is the main character who consciously competes with the ancient heroes. But he has little in common with Achilles, Ulysses. He also does not look like the heroes of medieval poetry-Roland or Lancelot. But Pilgrim like Aeneas embarks on a grandiose journey and also penetrates the underworld.
