5/6 divide by 4 equals 5/24. So each plot would be 5/24 km squared. Multiply that by 3 and it would be 15/24. So the answer would be 15/24 km squared if im correct.

Answer:

Total area of the 3 plots will be
(3)/(8) square kilometers.

Explanation:

Devon buys a plot of the land with an area =
(5)/(6) square kilometers

He divides this land equally into 4 smaller plots.

Therefore, Area of each plot =
((5)/(6) )/(4)

=
(5)/(24) square kilometers

Now the area of 3 plots = 3 × area of one plot

=
3* (5)/(24)

=
(5)/(8)

Therefore, total area of the smaller 3 plots will be
(3)/(8) square kilometers.
