Answer:

y= 5x - 18

Explanation:

the slope-intercept form equation of the line that passes through

(5, 7) and (8, 22)

To get equation of the line use y=mx+b

where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

(5, 7) is (x1,y1) and (8, 22) is (x2,y2)

slope m = (y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) =(22-7)/(8-5) = 5

Now find out b using (5,7) and m= 5

y= mx+b

7 = 5(5) + b

7= 25 +b ( subtract 25 from both sides)

b= -18

So equation of the line is y= 5x - 18
