Hello, I have not done Algebra in years and need a refresher with graphing a line.The problem: y=3x-8

y=3x-8

To graph a line you use the equation to find two points (x,y), you give any value to one of the variables and evaluate the equation to find the corresponding value of the other variable.

When x=0


\begin{gathered} y=3(0)-8 \\ y=0-8 \\ y=-8 \end{gathered}

Point (0,-8)

When x=4


\begin{gathered} y=3(4)-8 \\ y=12-8 \\ y=4 \end{gathered}

Point (4,4)
