Answer:

They have been bonded together so now they will form 1 ion. When 1 element gives up an electron it can now be put with another that is almost alike to it. And now since it gave up the electron, or a negative state, a positve ion is now formed. This means that The Protons have more capablity in the change, whereas potassium gave 1 electron away.

Based on the scenario, i think the answer is : it became a positive ion

In neutral state, the amount of electron and proton of a substance will be equal.
When a substance gave up an electron, the amount of proton will exceed its electron, which make it became a positive ion
