Can you help me with 4×+6=38

4x+6=38
4 x 8=32
32+6=38
X=8

The aim here is to get all of the terms involving x on one side of the equation and then to get x by itself.

We can start by subtracting 6 from both sides.

This gives:

4x = 32

We can then divide both sides by 4 to get x by itself:

x = 32/4 = 8
