The gradient of the line is the difference in y divided by the difference in x

In this case, the gradient is (48-12)/(32-34)

= 36/-2
= -18

(x2,y2) = (32,48)

Where x1= 34, y1= 12, x2 = 32, y2 = 48

Substituting this value in the formula for calculating slope we have;

Slope = 48-12/32-34

Slope = 36/-2

Slope = -18

Therefore the slope of the line is -18
