Using the properties of a kite, BE = ED

-x + 6 = 0.5x

We can now proceed to solve for x

Add x to both-side of the equation

6 = 0.5x + x

6 = 1.5x

Divide both-side of the equation by 1.5

4 = x

Therefore x = 4
