A basket of fruit contains 2 apples, 4 bananas, and 3 oranges. You blindly choose a piece of fruit from the basket. What is the probability that you choose a banana?

the probability would be 4/9. you add everything together and that's the denominator. then u take the number of bananas and that the numerator

4 out of 9 chance of picking a banana. add up all the items, and you have 4 banana's, so 2+4+3 is 9, thus 4 banana's out of 9 fruit.
