Write a complete two-column proof for following information.

Given: AB = 3y - 1, BC = 7y, AC = 29
Prove: AB = 8

AB + AC = AC
3y - 1 + 7y = 29
10y = 29 + 1 = 30
y = 30/10 = 3

Therefore, AB = 3(3) - 1 = 9 - 1 = 8.
