Recalling the laws of exponents:

a^n=a\cdot a\cdot a\cdot\ldots\cdot a\rightarrow\text{ n times}

The followin expression can be rewritten using exponents:

7\cdot7\cdot7\cdot7=7^4
3\cdot3\cdot3\cdot3\cdot3=3^5

Therefore, the expression:

(7\cdot7\cdot7\cdot7)/(3\cdot3\cdot3\cdot3\cdot3)

Is equivalent to:

(7^4)/(3^5)
