A sine wave, or sinusoid, is the graph of the sine function in trigonometry.
A sinusoid is the name given to any curve that can be written in the form
the equation is
Sinusoidal Function:

B = cycles from 0 to
period =
D = vertical shift (or displacement)
C = horizontal shift
(sometimes called "phase shift" when B = 1)
