the answer would be at 9 a.m the temp. will be 12 degrees. how you would be able to solve this problem would add 5 more degrees for ever hour that passed.

h represents the number of hours:
-13+5h=12
5h=12+13 (add 13 to both sides)
5h=25
h=25÷5 (divide both sides by 5)
h=5
After 5 hours the temperature will be 12°F. If it was 4 a.m. 5 hours ago then now it's 9 a.m. (4+5=9)
