Basically if your asking,why is there a zero every time you multiply by the powers of ten I can't answer that but what I can say is that no matter what you do you will get a 0 for your answer,unless you are adding.

The number of the exponent is the number of zeros you have at the end of your number you are multiplying by the powers of 10.
