Find the value of the following expression when x=3:

The objective of solving expressions, is to find the outcome value of a certain x-value, for example in this expression:

\begin{gathered} (2x)/((1)/(2))=2\cdot2x \\ =4x \end{gathered}

We solve this, just dividing 2/0.5=4 and then substituing x.

Now, we substitute x=3, to get the value:

4x=4(3)=12

The output value for x=2 is 12.
